me

Josh Preye Garry is the 2022 National Diversity Award winner, Head of History, Author, public speaker and a graduate student at the University of Oxford.


He began teaching in 2014 and taught in several London schools. As Head of History, Josh led the creation of a curriculum which has given voices to those groups who have been silenced by the past.


He co-authored the textbook for Pearson’s first-ever Black British GCSE.


He has spoken at world-renowned companies such as Goldman Sachs, Kantar and the Migration Museum.


Josh is currently completing his MSc at the University of Oxford which focuses on approaches to decolonising the English curriculum.


He regularly completes CPD in the History and local communities and creates resources for teachers across the country to use with their students.
